After graduating college--like many graduates--I have been trying to figure out what to do. For a year, I worked several different jobs, all of which resulted in termination. The first was a bar--not too rough of a let go (but still my first time being fired). The second job I really cared about--a teaching position at a Montessori School. I got fired (details that don't belong here). My next and last job for 2014 came at a coffee shop. This lasted for two weeks, after which I received a text saying that it was a very demanding position, one that did not "fit" me well. Fired.
So after many setbacks, and many trials and errors, I decided to lower myself, and work at a place that I knew (or hoped), I would not get fired from. This happened to be a Subway.
The reason I chose Subway is simple. I've loved it since I was a kid. I figured if I couldn't keep a job at a place that I intrinsically loved and as chill as a Subway--then I would finally give in to the idea that perhaps something was wrong with me.
Luckily I have not been fired from Subway.
And it has been a delicious adventure.
